Greater Noida: Traditional flavours from Uttar Pradesh have emerged as a major attraction at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026, drawing strong interest from domestic and international buyers, exporters and visitors.
Varanasi’s famous launglata and tricolour barfi have received an enthusiastic response, with more than 100 kg of launglata already sold at the trade show. Trader Chandrabali Yadav said visitors particularly appreciated the traditional sweet and expressed hope that the strong response would translate into further orders.

Varanasi’s live Banarasi paan counter has also become a popular attraction, with business visitors and food enthusiasts sampling the traditional preparation. Jaunpur’s renowned imarti has also recorded sales of around 100 kg, while Chandauli’s black rice has seen sales of nearly 75 kg. Black rice-based nutritious kheer is also attracting visitors.

The traders praised the arrangements and government support, saying UPITS has provided an opportunity to connect traditional food businesses with new customers and larger markets.
For the first time, traditional foods from different districts have been showcased under the One District, One Cuisine initiative at UPITS. According to Deputy Commissioner Industries Abhishek Priyadarshi, entrepreneurs participating under the initiative have been provided counters free of cost, giving local products greater exposure and opportunities to expand their markets.
